There were a handful of Asians during the residency; some were traveling from their Asian hometown and some of them were born, raised, grew up and have been living entirely in the US. It was interesting to see the similarities and the differences between them: made me think about what are ethnically inherent within us, is it genetic? - and how culture and environment play their part. I met these two in Vermont, one of them become my close friend :).
